This page describes what information makimaaichat.com handles and why. Put simply: nobody is profiled or followed here, and the little we do receive is never sold or shared for marketing.
Controller
Makima AI Chat is run as a non-commercial fan project by an independent Chainsaw Man fan, who acts as the data controller under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and comparable laws. Privacy questions go to [email protected].
Hosting and what loads
Pages are served by Cloudflare. To deliver them and to block abuse, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We rely on legitimate interest for this, and Cloudflare acts under its own privacy terms.
You will find no ad networks, no social media widgets and no tracking cookies on this site. Images and fonts are self-hosted on this domain, so reading a page sends no request to Google, social networks or advertisers.
Visit statistics
Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that holds no personal data and does not recognise you across other websites. It reports only how many page views and visits the site gets. Our own click counter is even simpler: it notes which button was pressed, never by whom.
The 18+ confirmation
Confirming your age saves one small entry named "age18" in your browser's local storage, so the question doesn't reappear on every visit. It is the only thing this site stores on your device. It is never sent to us, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
Messages you send us
The contact form passes your name, email address, chosen topic and message to FormSubmit, which forwards them to our inbox by email. That information is used only to answer you. Messages are deleted after twelve months, except where we need to keep one longer for a legal reason such as an open copyright dispute.
Leaving for SpicyChat
Most chat buttons open SpicyChat, an independent company, using a link that includes our referral code. Once you arrive there, SpicyChat's privacy policy governs your account, your conversations, any cookies and any payment. None of that information ever reaches us.
Leaving for GirlfriendGPT
The picture links are different. The locked Premium tiles, the button under the gallery and the one on the AI art page send you, via /go/pics/ on makimaaichat.com, to a Makima bot on GirlfriendGPT that can generate images of her in the chat. That link also includes our referral code. From the moment you land, GirlfriendGPT's own privacy policy applies, and your conversations and payments there are never visible to us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Brazil's LGPD, California's CCPA and similar laws, you may ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal data we hold about you, and you may object to its use. In practice that only ever means contact form messages, so send your request to [email protected] and it will be handled promptly. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Minors
Nobody under 18 should use this site, and we do not knowingly receive data from minors. If a message reaches us from someone under 18, it is deleted as soon as we notice or are told.
Updates
When this policy changes, the new version replaces this one and the date above is updated.
